Nancy J. Dannels, 80, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Wattersonville, died Friday, June 9, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

She was born March 19, 1937, in Pittsburgh to the late William and Hanna (Evans) Platt.

Nancy earned her nursing degree at Shadyside Hospital and was an RN for several years before owning and managing 4 Seasons Travel Agency in the North Hills.

She was a member of Wattersonville United Methodist Church and the International Gutter Club as well as a River Rat.

Left to cherish her memory are: a son, Robert A. and Karen (Meyer) Dannels of Ashtabula, Ohio; daughters Chery (Scott) Sunday of Pittsburgh, and Lisa A. (Bernardo) Marrese of Pittsburgh; grandchildren Cody Dannels, Hutch Dannels, Reno Dannels, Shawna (Cole Durica) Sunday, Cecily (Guillaume Aguilina) Sunday, Jacob (Alyssa Hall) Sunday, Felicia Sunday, Dimitri Marrese, Tiana Marrese, Amara Marrese and Mattea Marrese; and a sister, Nellie Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Joseph R. Dannels, who passed away in April of 2016.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean St., Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Wattersonville United Methodist Church, 115 Friendly Lane, Cowansville, Pa 16218 with Bill Wilson officiating.

Interment will be in Wattersonville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Wattersonville United Methodist Church.
