Paul Lessner Obituary

Paul C. Lessner, 73, of Worthington, died on Wednesday June 12, 2019 at  ACMH Hospital.  Paul was born October 9, 1945 to the late Richard & Edna (Ebel) Lessner of Gibsonia.  He was a farmer who also worked as a salesman for 25 years for Sears.  He was a Us Navy, Vietnam Era Veteran serving as a First Class Petty Officer, machinist mate, on various aircraft carriers for 6 years.  He was a member of the Harvest Community Church in Kittanning and also volunteered his time helping out at the Worthington/West Franklin VFD.

Paul was a jack of all trades who enjoyed farming, building two homes and assisting with the building of his children’s homes as well.  He looked forward to taking rides and traveling.  He had a great appreciation for all of God’s creations.  He was known for his strong work ethic and instilled the hard work ethic, family morals and Godly principles into all his children.

Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years, Cydney (Grubbs) Lessner; 6 children and 20 grandchildren, Scott (Renee) Lessner of Cowansville and their children: Brittany, Nicholas, Zachary, Megan, and Nathan;Eric (Missy) Lessner of Templeton and their children: Erica, Erin (Jared) Kalmar, Emilee, and Ellie; Greg (Suzy) Lessner of Parker and their children: Richard, Theodore, Peter, and Sarah; Grant (Carolyn) Lessner of Brookville and their children: Ethan, Adelaide, Owen, and Ileysia; Holly (Brian Baker of Ford City and their children: Hannah, Colton, and Hudson; Dale (Lulu) Lessner who is in active duty with the US Navy. six siblings, Mary Lou (Bob) Radocay, Betsy (the late John) Schultz, Artie ( the late Debbie) Lessner, Ginny (Jim) Miros, Gary (Sheila) Lessner, Tim (Gail) Lessner; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by two brothers, Dick and Dave (Lois) Lessner.

Family and friends will be received on Monday June 17, 2019 in the Harvest Community Church from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rodney Miller officiating.
