Rachel J. Anthony, 66, of West Kittanning died on Friday July 28, 2017, in ACMH Hospital. She was born on December 4, 1950 in East Brady, Pa., to the late Raymond & Ruby (Hooks) McAfoose. Mrs. Anthony retired in December 2016 after being franchisee of H&R Block for the past 23 years. She was a member of Harvest Community Church in Kittanning. Rachel enjoyed trips to Atlantic City but most of all loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 49 years, Harold R. Anthony; a son, Edward (Heather) Anthony; two daughters, Sandy Jo (Patrick Riley) Waugaman, and Jennifer (Andy Leitmeyer) Anthony; her 6-Pack of grandchildren, Evan, Abby, Justin, Austin, Nick and Alex; five step grandchildren; a sister Betty (John) Martin; and two brothers, Don (Millie) McAfoose, and Leon McAfoose. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Harold Ray McAfoose; and a sister-in-law, Anita McAfoose. Family & friends will be received on Monday July 31, 2017, in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home Kittanning from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m., and on Tuesday Aug. 1, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Rodney Miller officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Rachel’s name to The Laube Cancer Center, Kittanning, Pa.
