Richard J. Kunselman Sr.February 22, 1927 ~ November 10, 2017 (age 90)
Richard J. Kunselman Sr., 90, of Templeton, died on Friday Nov. 10, 2017, at Sugar Creek Rest. He was born on Feb. 22, 1927, in Kittanning, Pa. to the late Richard & Belle (Borland) Kunselman. Kunselman was a stryker engineer for 44 years at Davison Sand and Gravel. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. Richard was a member of Templeton Methodist Church and belonged to Kittanning East Brady Lodge No. 244 of F & A.M. and Coudersport Consistory. He was a past school board director for the Armstrong School District and a member of Operating Engineer Local Union 66. He enjoyed CB and Ham Radios, watching westerns, fishing, and being with his family. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife of 71 years Caroline (Shuster) Kunselman; Son Richard J. (Pam) Kunselman Jr. of Kittanning; daughters Jackie (Larry) Rupp of Dayton, Pa., Vicki Kunselman of Glenshaw Pa., and Janet Yates of Glenshaw; Grandson Richard J. Kunselman III of Kittanning; granddaughter Dr. Michelle Rupp and Peter Habeeb of Lansdale; grandson Jason (Heather) Rupp of Royal Oak, Mich.; great-granddaughter Emily Habeeb of Lansdale; step great-granddaughter Isla Fick of Royal Oak, Mich.; step sister Suzzette Stoudt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Randy Kunselman; sister Sherry Johson; granddaughter Anna Cathryn Kunselman; and cats Torrie and Fluffy. Private services were held on Sunday in Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home Kittanning. Burial was in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
