Robert Edson Crissman, 61, of Kittanning, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at home. He was born on April 9, 1957, in Kittanning, to the late Russell and Oma (Hooks) Crissman. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Robert was an assistant road master for East Franklin Township, and after he retired he assisted Doug Sedwick surveying. He was a member of the Brush Valley Brethren Church in Adrian. He loved hunting, working on cars with his son, and doing wood work. Most of all he loved being a husband, father, and brother to his family. Bob was the most beloved, son, husband, father, and brother. He was a rock and hero to his wife and children.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Connie (Weigand) Crissman, whom he married March 10, 1984; son, Ben Crissman of Butler; daughter, Annalyn Crissman and Brandon Auman of Delmont; brother, Perry (Mimi) Crissman of Kittanning; sisters, Vanessa Crissman of Kittanning and Vickie (Cliff) Neal of West Kittanning; and brothers, Denny Crissman of Kittanning and Gordon (Karen) Crissman of Kittanning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Oma Crissman; sister-in-law, Jill Crissman; brother-in-law, Art Weigand; and mother-in-law, June Crosby-Weigand.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service, with Pastor Tim Lewis officiating.
