Wade Anthony Megown, 59, of Templeton, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, April 8, 2018, wrapped in the arms of his loving wife and two daughters. Wade was born to the late Raymond and Jenny (Anthony) Megown on April 5, 1959. He retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel Mill. He spent 41 wonderful years with his loving wife, Teresa (Cates) Megown. He enjoyed hunting, camping, hiking, canoeing, and traveling. One of Wade’s favorite things was being a member of the Rangers of Ohio Company, where he made friends into family. He greatly enjoyed participating in the ROC French and Indian War reenactments. Wade was most happy at home though, with his family and spending time in his own personal paradise. He was preceded in death by his parents; and blood brother, Terry Frayer. He is survived by is his wife, Teresa; brother, Glenn; daughters, Jessica (Mike) Atherton and Hannah (Al) Megown; six grandchildren that he adored, Anthony Megown, Raymond Ballock, Pearl Ballock, Cade Atherton, Parker Megown, and Lucas Sauers. Everyone who remembers Wade is asked to celebrate Wade’s life in their own way; raising a Yuengling to his memory would be quite appropriate. In lieu of flowers, Wade would hope for kindness and help to his wife during this difficult transition. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
