Wilbert A. Beckwith, 84, of West Kittanning, died on Wednesday Jan. 16, 2019, at home. He was born on March 22, 1934, in West Kittanning, to the late Wilbert and Georgie (Carpenter) Beckwith. Wilbert was a truck driver for Kesco and an U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed playing hand held poker machines, watching westerns and NASCAR on TV, and going down to the Men’s Club in Kittanning.
Left behind to cherish his memory includes his companion of 58 years, Tillie (Stephens) Anderson; daughter, Betty (Anderson) Fletcher, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Michelle (Slee) Grafton and husband, Dave, Carla (Slee) McGaughey and husband, Chad, and Chelsea (Trimble) Swank and husband, Andy; great-grandchildren, David Grafton, Jr., Derek Grafton, Jaysa McGaughey, and Nicolas McGaughey; and great-great-granddaughter, Saylor Grafton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn; and daughter, Crystal Slee.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Additional viewing will take place in the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. with Ginger Gardner officiating.
