William D. Leinweber, 86, of Kittanning, died Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospice, in Cabot. He was born May 5, 1932, in Kittanning to William C. Leinweber and Elizabeth (Dutton) Leinweber. William was retired from PPG Industries in Ford City with 33 years of service. Mr. Leinweber served in the Army during the Korean War as Military Police in Germany. He was a member of Mt. Union Bible Church, and attended Salem United Church of Christ (Hills Church).
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie E. (Barker) Leinweber. Additional survivors include Barbara and Tom Emminger, Beverly Serene, Richard Barker and Daphne, James Barker and Tammie, Laurie Harriger and Denny; close great nieces and nephews, Sara Harriger, Caleb Harriger, Aaron Barker, Brandon Barker, Emily Barker, Larry Barker, and Diana (Mike) Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Margaret Serene.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Todd Marino officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Union Davis Cemetery.
