Adam Christopher Hooten, 38, of Kittanning, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Family Hospice in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital on October 7, 1986, the son of Gary Alan Hooten and Rene June (Caruso) Hooten, and was a lifelong resident of the community. He worked as a truck driver, which he enjoyed and attended Kittanning Church of God. Adam also liked playing softball and basketball, fishing, watching football, especially when his sons were playing, supporting his Pittsburgh sport's teams and most of all, spending time with family.
He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory, his wife, Annie Jean Hooten, of Kittanning; his children, Jace Gerald Leavens, Olivia Mae Boltz, Austen Adam Hooten, Calli Brianne Hooten and Adalee Rene Hooten, all of Kittanning; his parents, Gary and Rene Hooten; his sister, Sarah Evelyn Craft and brother in-law, Justin Paul Craft, of Brockway; nieces, Addy Bayne Craft, Evelyn Rene Craft and Frankie AnnLouise Craft, all of Brockway; and grandma, Nancy Jean Hooten, of Brockway. Adam was preceded in death by his son, Darren Paul Hooten; daughter, Emilee Ann Hooten; great-grandparents, June and Merle Phillips; grandparents, Irene and Michael Caruso; grandpa, Walter Hooten; and uncle, Mark Hooten.
Friends will be received on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 2-4 p.m. with funeral service to immediately follow at 4 p.m., with Pastor Robert Grimm officiating. Interment is private.
