Alice Diane (Bowser) Carney, 68, of Kittanning, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born December 18, 1952 in Kittanning to the late Floyd C. and Betty (McCoy) Bowser. Alice retired from the V.N.A with 20 years of service, and was a member of the Nazarene Church for life. She enjoyed bingo, reading books and the Bible outside while sitting in the sun. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three sons, Paul F. Carney Jr., Richard F. Carney and his fiancé, Dawn Wright, and Justin R. Carney and his fiancé, Christin Cousins all of Kittanning; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brother, David (Emily) Bowser, of Washington, PA; sister, Susan (Terry) Fink of Kittanning; sister, Terri (Steve) Homison of Butler; sister-in-law, Barb Carney of Kittanning; many nieces and nephews; and best friend from high school, Carol Klingensmith, of Virginia.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Paul F. Carney Sr. whom she married December 11, 1971 and Paul passed away on August 24, 2020; brother, Floyd C. Bowser Jr. and infant sister, Joy Bowser. Arrangements for Alice are private and under the care of Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
