Anna Louise (McMillen) Clepper, 95, of DuBois, formerly of Cowansville, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024. She was born September 28, 1929 to Thomas and Mary (Thompson) McMillen of Craigsville. She was a resident of Christ the King Manor in DuBois, Pa. for 3 years after living in DuBois for over 25 years. Originally a longtime resident of Cowansville, Pa., she was married to William E. Clepper from April 12, 1947 until his death in 2017. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 7 brothers, 5 sisters, a grandson and a great-grandson. Anna is survived by 1 sister, Phyllis Sack, of Lower Burrell, Pa. Also surviving Anna are her 4 children, Carol Moody, of Salisbury, Md., Nancy Sowder, of Jasper, Ga., William F. Clepper, of Freeport, Pa. and Robert Clepper, of DuBois, Pa; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Anna was employed as one of the first female school bus drivers in a male dominated field for Clepper Bus Company from the early 1960’s until they moved to become Valley Lines Bus Company in Punxsutawney and DuBois. Anna was a school bus driver and secretary until her retirement. Anna was very dedicated to her family. She was known for her generous baking and cooking skills.
A celebration of her life will be privately held by her family on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Private interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
