Arthur Dale Barnhart Obituary

Arthur Dale Barnhart, 86, of Kittanning, passed away Saturday November 9, 2024 at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. He was born November 20, 1937 in Kittanning to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Smith) Barnhart. He was a heavy equipment operator for coal mines and strip jobs. Arthur was a member of the Franklin Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to Smicksburg and New Wilington and working around the yard. 


Arthur is survived by his wife of 67 years Wilma (Hawley) Barnhart of Kittanning; son Rex (Darla) Barnhart of Kittanning; daughter Susan (Jack) Bowser of Worthington; daughter Pamela (Richard) Karns of Kittanning; grandchildren Cari (Chris) Chavira of Kittanning, Travis Barnhart of Kittanning, Christopher (Autumn) Bowser of Worthington, Sean (Kaylee) Bowser of Tennessee, Abby (Joshua)  Kail of Beaver, Tobias Bowser of Worthington, Tyler Karns of Kittanning, and Haylea Karns of Kittanning; 18 great-grandchildren; sister Myrna Steffey; sister in law Joy Barnhart of Kittanning; numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Walter Barnhart; sister Betty Brody; sister Marlene Gray.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday November 29, 2024 at the Franklin Union Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with James Shomo officiating.
