Barbara Lee “Mawmaw” (Kissinger) Cowan, 82, of East Kittanning, went peacefully at Allegheny General Hospital with her family by her side on Thursday, July 25, 2024.  She was born July 29, 1941, the daughter of Laura “Mugs” Kissinger and William “Skin” Kissinger.  She was a beautiful, wonderful, brave and intelligent woman who enjoyed BINGO, lottery tickets, shopping, decaf. Coffee, collecting gnomes and nutcrackers. She also enjoyed apple decor, celebrating holidays, football games, spending time with family, fast-food Friday’s with the great-grandkids and getting her nails done.  She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her husband, Darcy Cowan; daughters, Jodie (Gary) Anderson and Penny Jo (Fred) Clark; grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Shana, Christopher, Aaron and Renae; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Kyle, Remington, Brenan, Devayiah, Deo, Harmony, Anthony and Conner; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Mylo.  In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by beloved and very missed daughter, Bonnie Sue; and her sister, Janet.  Friends and family will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Terri Wells officiating, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service.  She will be resting in eternity at Slate Lick Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Barbara loved live plants.
