Barry James Montgomery, 67, of Kittanning, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026 at ACMH Hospital. He was born July 26, 1958 in Kittanning, the son of the late James Robert and Emogene Louise (McGuire) Montgomery. He was the owner and operator of his own business, working as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Barry served in the U.S. Army with the rank of SP 5 and the Army Reserves 332nd Engineer Company. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed attending gun bashes at various fire departments. He collected toy trucks. He also attended local township meetings and was active. Barry would provide food to the needy. He had a good heart, often giving turkeys away at Thanksgiving and hams at Christmastime to local families. He always had roses for all the ladies (mother's) on Mother's Day. He enjoyed attending birthday parties for his cousins. He always helped on Montgomery Farms when he was able and not out on the open road. Left behind to cherish his memory includes his brother, Ronnie, of Elderton; sisters, Kathy, of East Brady and Tammy; brother, Jack Jones; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Montgomery. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Rd., Cowansville, Pa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26 at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Clair Knappenberger officiating, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Union First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Cowansville, Pa.
