Betty Louise (Miller) Cogley

     Betty Louise (Miller) Cogley, formerly of West Kittanning, passed away July 11, 2021 In Little Rock, Arkansas.  Born in Kittanning, PA. June 25, 1929 to Wilmer and Ruth (Sullivan) Miller.  A 1947 graduate of Sigel HS, she married Knewton Cogley of Kittanning, PA. August 20, 1948.  The couple owned and operated Cogley’s Carpets in West Kittanning untill retirement in 1990.  Betty was active in many groups; charter member and president of the Nellie Bly Questers (she loved exploring history), former member of the Order of the Amaranth, served on the West Kittanning election board for 17 years, and was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church.  She is surived by her daughter, Janet L. (Cogley) Clymer, of Alexander, Arkansas; her son, Joseph S. Cogley, of Mifflinburg, PA., two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Miller, and her husband, Knewton Cogley who passed away in De Pere, Wisconsin, May 24, 2018. Veiwing will be on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from noon until 2 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral home, 200 South McKean St. Kittanning, PA 16201.  Interment at the Oakland Cemetery, Distant, PA.
