Betty Jean Landstrom, 103, of Kittanning, passed away peacefully at Grey's Colonial Acres on August 29, 2025. Born on June 26, 1922, in McKeesport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Frieda (Huhn) Kellerman. Betty graduated from McKeesport High School in 1940. She married Donald R. Landstrom on May 1, 1945, and she made her home in McKeesport for the next 35 years. Betty later moved to Kittanning in 1985. Betty was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ and the church's Women's Guild. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making candy at her McKeesport church, playing cards, and baking, especially her well-loved coconut cream pie. Betty treasured time spent with her family and remained healthy and active throughout most of her 103 years.
Betty is survived by her devoted son, Donald (Carol) Landstrom; four grandchildren, Michael Landstrom, Molly (Britt) Blose, Meaghan (Joseph) Henretty and Kevan (Heather) Landstrom; and nine great-grandchildren: Noah, Addison, Isaac and Emersyn Blose, Alex and Liam Henretty, and Estelle, Norah and Noelle Landstrom, all of Kittanning. She is also survived by her nephew, Fred (Diane) Ritenour, of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in 1978; her sister, Juanita; and her sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Bob Ritenour.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all the staff of the Grey's Personal Care Homes for their dedicated care and loving support.
