Betty Jean (Wolfe) Ranger

Betty Jean (Wolfe) Ranger, 72, of Kittanning, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Kittanning, to the late Reynolds and Uda (Jack) Wolfe, who were residents of Adrian. She lived in Ohio, from 1965-2006 before moving back to Kittanning.

She was employed with North Electric as a coil winder.

Betty was a member of Harvest Community Church in Kittanning, where she was very active in various activities.

She was a 1964 graduate of East Brady High School.

Betty loved to bake, was an avid card player, and she loved cooking for the holidays with her mother who would critique how she cooked.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Terry Ranger; son, Scott Ranger, of Kittanning; brother, William (Pat) Wolfe, of Alexandria, Va.; brother-in-law, Ron Spence, of Kittanning; nieces, Roni (Joe) Caruso and Sharon Spence; nephew, Michael (Lisa) Wolfe; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and sisterin love, June Shepard, of Lusby,

Md.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Wolfe; and sister, Peggy Spence; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at the Harvest Community Church in Kittanning, with the Rev. Rodney Miller, her church pastor officiating. Interment will be in Ford City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Betty’s honor to the Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter, PO Box 838, Kittanning, Pa. 16201.
