Beverly Jean (Bracken) Jones

Beverly Jean (Bracken) Jones, 87, of Kittanning, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born March 13, 1938 in Spangler, Pa. to the late William Harry and Evelyn Faye (Boring) Bracken.  Beverly was a Christian who was a homemaker and pastor's wife.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking, spending time in prayer with God and spending time with her family.  Left behind to forever cherish her memory includes her sons, William L. (Wendy) Jones, of Kittanning and David A. (Darlene) Jones, Sr., of Kittanning; her daughters, Evelyn S. (Charles) Sober, of Kittanning and Tammy M. (Greg) Johns, of Adrian; grandchildren, George Jones III, Jennifer Bryant, Casey Jones, Benjamin Jones, David Jones, Jr., Amber Davis, Jessica Jones, Stephanie Stivason, Chance Jones, Greg Johns, Jr., Emily Johns, Katherine Johns and Chase Sober; 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is one brother, two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George H. Jones Sr.; her son, George H. Jones Jr.; infant daughter, Nancy J. Jones; grandson, Nathan I. Jones; and six brothers.

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 at KENNEDY & BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning, Pa. 16201.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10 with Pastor Mike Bobbitt officiating, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service.  Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery.
