Bonita L. (Evanio) Mazurek, 74, of Worthington, died on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.  She was born January 26, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late Frank Evanio and Anna E. (Karen) Pfender.  Bonita worked as a dietary aid.  She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her son, Mark D. Mazurek, of Worthington; daughters, Susan Lane, of Alliance, Ohio and Sandra Scopel, of Ford Cliff; three grandchildren, Dustin Scopel, Jenna Lane and Rebecca Lane; one great-grandson, Jacks Carroll-Lane; and cousins, Allen Greenawalt, of Birdsboro, Pa., Melinda Smith, of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Mike Mazurek, of Butler, Pa.  In addition to her parents, Bonita was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Mazurek, who passed away in 2003; and two sisters, Kathleen Greenawalt and Joanne Mazurek.  

Friends will be received on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, Pa. 16262.  Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, Oct. 17 at the funeral home with Deacon Joseph Pham officiating, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service.  Interment will be in Deer Creek Cemetery in Cheswick, Pa.
