Carol Jean (Albright) Shoup, 82, of Templeton, PA passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024 at her home. She was born May 25, 1942 in Greensburg, PA, the daughter of the late Paul and Pearl Albright. She was a homemaker as well as a teacher's aide at the Gertrude Barber Center in Erie, PA and she served on the Board of Directors at HAVIN. Carol was a member of Tidal Presbyterian Church where she served as a church elder and sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering as a Penn State Master Gardner, and she also enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and reading. Left behind to forever cherish her memory includes her husband, Larry Shoup, of Templeton; son, Todd Shoup and wife, Kristie, of Indiana; daughter, Trisha Douglas and husband, Jeff, of Templeton; brother, Walter Albright, of Maryland; granddaughter, Laura Zipperian and husband, John, of Florida; and grandson, Matt Shoup, of Utah; grandson, Greg Shoup, of Ohio; granddaughter-in-law, Kira Shoup, of Indiana; and grandson, Jeffery Douglas, of Pennsylvania. A Celebration of Life in honor of Carol Jean Shoup will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. followed by an open house until 2 p.m. at 274 Rimer Hill Rd., Templeton, Pa. Friends are encouraged to bring photos and memories to share with the family. Donations can be made to Tidal Presbyterian Church of HAVIn in Carol's name.
