A Granddaughter's Message:
To my lovely grandma and guardian angel,
This past summer, I promised you I would write something for your obituary. We never broke our promises to each other, so this is me fulfilling that promise even though this is extremely difficult for me. Ever since I was a little girl, we would always watch tv together so I would like to start this off by presenting a quote from Peter Pan. " Never say goodbye because saying goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting." Therefore this is not goodbye, especially since you are not one to break your promises. In your last few days here in the physical realm, you looked me in the eyes and said " why are you crying? Be happy. I'll miss you but I promise I will always be with you , I will never leave your side, and I'll be your guardian angel. I love you." So, instead of "goodbye" this is simply a see you later. You will be with me no matter what and I promise you, I will forever love and miss you and I will never forget you, the time we had together, and the amazing memories we have made. You made me the woman I am today and I am so incredibly thankful for that and everything you have and will continue to do for me. I swear I will continue to make you proud and pass down the knowledge and love that you have installed in me even if it is just to my students. There's nothing I wouldn't give to be able to feel you holding my hand, hugging me, and hear you talking to me. What I wouldn't give for one more day here with you in the physical realm. But I know I would and will always be wishing for one more day. Thank you for being with me spiritually though. I now have a protector that will help ensure all my dreams come true and that no danger comes my way.
All my love,
Your baby girl, Kaycee.
