Having fought the good fight and keeping the faith, Corbin Bowser Jr. was received into the presence of His Savior on June 8th, 2026. He was born on July 22, 1935, in Kittanning, to the late Corbin and Annie Bowser and was a lifelong resident of the area.
He was a long time member of the Salvation Army church and attended Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church as well. He was steadfast in his faith in Christ and was the spiritual pillar of his family. He was known throughout the community for his work at the Salvation Army as well as his leadership in forming the Church Softball League. He took great pride in his job as a rural mail carrier and truly enjoyed visiting with the people on his route. As a lifelong Pirates fan, he never missed an opportunity to watch a game.
Survivors include his sons, David Bowser, of Kittanning and Michael (Debbie) Bowser, of Dayton and his daughter, Karen Sue (Craig) Whiteman, of Kittanning; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews; his brother, Bob (Flo) Bowser, of Kittanning; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Bowser, of Worthington.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances Virginia Bowser; his parents, Corbin and Annie Bowser; brothers, Joe Bowser and Bill (Linda) Bowser; daughter-in-law, Mary Lynn Bowser; and two great-grandsons.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at KENNEDY & BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning, Pa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church with his son, Pastor Michael Bowser officiating. There will be an additional hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment will be in West Glade Run Presbyterian Cemetery.
