Crystale Lynn (Higginson) Smith

Crystale Lynn (Higginson) Smith, 66, of Kittanning, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, in Kittanning Care Center.  She was born on July 13, 1957, in Kittanning, to Robert and Evelyn Higginson.  Crystale was a C.N.A who enjoyed sewing, especially hats and blankets for newborns at the hospital.

She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory: husband, Lloyd Smith, of Kittanning; daughters: Jessica (Edward) Reiss, of Kittanning, Tara Smith, of Ford City and Regan Smith, of Kittanning; her mother, Evelyn Higginson, of Kittanning; grandchildren: Brooke Reiss, Justin Reiss and Jackson Smith; brother, Robert Higginson, Jr. of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Kimberly (Roger) Bowman, of Knox, Pa., and Fran (Joseph) Recupero, of Kittanning; along with several nieces and nephews.  Crystale was preceded in death by her father, Robert Higginson; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carl and Dorothy Smith.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, in the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning, Pa.  Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, in the funeral home, until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Juanito G. Lozano officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Paul Congregational Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Stroke Association or to the Orphans of the Storm.
