Darin Jene Harvey

Darin Jene Harvey, age 56, formerly of Kittanning, passed away of natural causes in his home on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Edgewater, Florida. He was born on July 18, 1967 to John L Harvey and Sherry (Garvas) Farster in Pitcairn, PA. Darin enlisted in the United States AirForce for 6 years before working for the Mercer State Prison (SCI) until he finally retired. He was able to live his long awaited dream of moving to Florida and soaking in the warm weather and sandy beaches before his untimely passing.
Darin will always be remembered for his love of music, including his keen ability to pick up a beat and lay one down and how proud he was to be able to perform with his friends in his band 'Splitting Charlie'. If he wasn't pounding his drums, you would find him enjoying bagna cauda with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Phoebe Harvey (Vogel), loving mother, Sherry Farster and husband, Rich, of Kittanning PA, sister Deborah Dudek also of Kittanning PA, brother John and Brandy Harvey of Zelienople, PA. Darin was lovingly known as "Uncle D" by his niece and nephew Shawnee Hill and Chancy Hopper as well as his 5 great nieces and nephews: Bree, Alexis, Avery, Gabe and Leo. Darin will also be remembered by many, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, John L Harvey, his Grandparents, Frank and Jemma Garvas and John & Jean Harvey.
