Darlene Kay (Fox) John

On January 4th, 2025 at 12:55am, heaven received a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. Darlene John was born in New Kensington, Pa and lived most of her life in the Kittanning area. Her later and last years were spent in Applewold, Pa. Mom loved Jesus, the outdoors and loved to putter in just about anything she could get her hands into. Her husband, kids, grand kids, great grandkids, nephews, and nieces were the apple of her eye. She loved us all deeply and showed it more than we could give back.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Fox, and her mother Betty Fox of Kittanning. She left behind a legacy of children, grand children, and great grandchildren: daughter, Brandi and son-in-law Danny Goldstrom Sr. of Rural Valley; son, Bud and daughter-in- law Johanna John of Palatka, Fl.; grandkids, Brady Yarger and Taja, Ethan and Abbigayle Yarger, and Kaleb Yarger, Isaiah, Sarah, Jonah, and Noah John, Daniel Goldstrohm, and Lindsey Goldstrohm; great-grandkids, Amelia and Athena Yarger, Kaden and Elliana Yarger, Everly Yarger and Layn Goldstrohm.

Mom was 66 years old. As time went on her body struggled to keep up with her heart and mind and the things she wanted to do. She is free and in no pain now. It is bitter sweet but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We WILL see you again. We love you, we miss you. Best mom ever.

Friends and family will be received at Snyder- Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning on Thursday, January 9th from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
