Deanna Yvonne (Richey) Ace

Deanna Yvonne Ace, 60, of Franklin, peacefully passed away on January 11, 2022, surrounded by her family.  Deanna was born on April 26, 1961, to the late, Joseph and Beverly (Hancock) Richey in Kittanning, Pa. A long-time resident of the Worthington area, Deanna married her husband Randy on April 24, 1982, at Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church and had 2 sons RJ and Shawn.  An avid hockey fan, Deanna was sure to never miss a chance to watch a Penguins game.  She also enjoyed playing Farmville and crocheting blankets.  She was also never one to change the channel when she would come across an “old school” horror movie on TV.  Deanna spent her life caring for everyone around her.  She was always the one to lend a hand to anyone in need and was there to lift everyone’s spirits and turn even the toughest situations positive. She loved spending time playing games or watching videos with her granddaughters.  Deanna spent over 15 years working for Walmart where she made numerous lifelong friends and will be forever remembered by everyone who ever knew or even briefly encountered her.  She is survived by her husband, Randall C. Ace; her sons, Randall J. Ace (Melinda) and Shawn Ace; 4 granddaughters, Mahkenzy, Emalee, Alexia, and Sadeigh; a sister, Barbara Smail (Richey); and 2 brothers, Jeffrey Richey and Joseph Richey.  Deanna was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Richey; mother, Beverly Richey; brother-in-law, Donald Smail; and infant daughter, Evelyn Margaret.  Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, Pa.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12 p.m. on Sunday with Pastor Mike Bowser of Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations toward funeral costs can be made directly to the funeral home.
