Deborah Marshall Obituary

Deborah Dodds Marshall went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the age of 68.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandma/gigi, sister, niece and friend. Debbie was born to John R. and Helen M. Dodds on July 15, 1956 in Mishawaka, Indiana.  After graduating Bucktail Area High School, Debbie attended IUP for a short time, where she met and fell in love with John.  Deborah married John Marshall on June 1, 1976. They were blessed with three children, John R. D., Samuel T. D. and Natalie M. Marshall. Debbie loved her family very much and treasured their time spent together, especially family dinners at Luigi's in Clymer, PA.

She spent many years working in the Mental Health field in various locations. In 2013, she became the pastor of Sherrett and Wattersonville United Methodist Churches. She loved preaching in the gazebo at Wattersonville and relaxing with her congregation around a campfire at Sherrett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Dodds; her beloved sister, Gloria Dodds; her loving husband, John; and grandson, Maxton. She is survived by her loving children: John (Jenette) Marshall of McIntyre, Pa., Samuel (Ashley) Marshall of Thomasville, N.C. and Natalie (Jared) Przestrzelski of Home, Pa.; grandchildren: Raven, John, Toby, Hayden, Sterlin, Nolan, Colton and Franklin; and beloved dogs: Rascal and Meri.
