Delores J. (Shaffer) Earley, 78, of Kaylor, went to be an angel in heaven on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born July 7, 1939, in Adrian, to the late Nelson and Louise (Bonfonte) Shaffer. She was the owner of Earlybird Janitorial Service and also was a care taker and did house cleaning. Delores attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Adrian. She enjoyed yard sales, traveling, collecting angels, and spending time with her family. Left behind to cherish her memory includes son, Cork (Barb Hiner) Earley of Kaylor; son, Paul (Cheri) Earley of East Brady; daughters, Rose (Ed French) Brosius of Adrian, Susan (Richard) Olcus of Frogtown, and Kimberly (Stephen) McElravy of Karns City; son, Jeff (Tina) Earley of Adrian; daughter, Laura (Thomas Hahn) Earley of Frogtown; sister, Connie Herczeg of Painesville, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren; brothers, Meade (Francine) Shaffer of Adrian and Larry (Allison) Shaffer, also of Adrian; nieces, Louise (William) Pascale of Pittsburgh and Grace (John) Barber of Willoughby, Ohio; nephew, Steve Herczeg of Painesville; two great-nieces; and five great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Theodore Earley; son, Wayne Earley; son-in-law, Robert “Bubba” Brosius; great-grandsons, Cody Earley and Gregory Hartzell; sister, Alberta Brown; brothers, William, Earl, and George Shaffer; and brother-in-law, Steve Herczeg. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service. The Rev. Ryan Lucas will officiate. Burial will be in Croyle Cemetery, Adrian.
