Dora Kathleen (Dowling) Kirkwood

Dora Kathleen “Dodie” Kirkwood, 78, of Kittanning, passed away Friday November 18, 2022 at Premier Armstrong Nursing and Rehabilitation in Kittanning. She was born February 14, 1944 in Kittanning to the late Walter Dowling and Sarah (Nicely) Dowling-Domes. 

Dora worked at Moonlight Mushrooms in Worthington for 44 years. She was a member of the Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church. Dora enjoyed being outside, collecting frogs, and swimming. She loved to spend time with her family. 

Dora is survived by her two daughters Vickee Fink and fiancé Dan Barnett of Dayton and Paula Uptegraph and husband Keith of Sarver; grandson Jon McCullough and wife Nichole of Kittanning; granddaughter Lacee Fink and fiancé Josh of Kittanning; grandson Taylor Fink of Harrisburg; grandson Nicholas Ballina of Sarver; grandson Zachary Ballina of Sarver’ great grandchildren Emberly, Octavia, Raven, Harper, and Kennedy; several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father Walter Dowling; mother Sarah Dowling-Domes; step father Peter Domes; husband Paul Kirkwood; brother Walter Dowling; sister Sally Lasher. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 22, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 23, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church with Rev. Don Peters officiating. Additional visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
