Doris Stella (Snyder) Schall

                Doris Stella Schall, 101, entered her heavenly rest on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.    She was born on May 30, 1923.  She was the daughter of Samuel Harvey and Stella Mary Snyder.  She married Irvin Muir on January 10, 1942.  They raised five children, Phyllis, Richard, Leo, Dennis and Diane.  Irvin preceded her in death on December 3, 1984.   She married Audry Schall on August 31, 1991.  He preceded her in death on September 15, 2003.

                 Doris loved caring for her home, her children and her grandchildren.   Her interests included gardening, cooking, canning and caring for her home but she will be best remembered by the extra time, love and care that she gave to many.  

               She is survived by her two sons, Richard (Debbie) and Dennis (Mariann), ten grandchildren, Christine Schirtzinger, Scott (Jenn) Muir, Kelly (Gary) McDeavitt, Karie Errington, Kasey (Nathaniel) Gaiser, Landon (Julia) Muir, Matt Andre, Rebecca Devore, Benjamin (Karie) Rivers, and Jason (Jackie) Rivers, 13 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.  

               She was preceded in death by her husbands, Irvin Muir and Audrey Schall; her parents; her son, Leo Muir; her daughters, Phyllis Andre and Diane Rivers; three sisters, Bessie (Clarence) McAfoose, Maxine (Charles) Baker, and Viola; and three brothers, Pete (Virginia) Snyder, Russell (Ann) Snyder and Ardell Snyder. 

               Calling hours will be Friday, August 30, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. with the funeral following at 6:00 P.M. at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington, PA. Interment is in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington.
