Dorothy (Hetrick) Reedy

     Dorothy (Hetrick) Reedy, 99, of Kittanning, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at Kittanning Care Center.  She was born Sept. 18, 1921 to Samuel Hobert and Ella (Shaffer) Hetrick in Mudlic of Redbank Township.  Dorothy married Everett Reedy, and together they owned and operated the New Bethlehem Laundromat and Dry Cleaners for many years.  She attended the First Baptist Church in Kittanning, participating in its activities for seniors and offering her service for its ministries during her retirement years. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Reedy; daughter, Barbara Huffman; and brother, John Hetrick.  Dorothy is survived by her son-in-law, John Huffman, of Meadville; grandson, Kerry Huffman (Lona), of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Christina Huffman, of Meadville; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Huffman and Rachel Magill; brothers, Samuel Hetrick (Mary Jane), of Putneyville, Carl Hetrick (Elaine), of Mayport, and Richard Hetrick (Anita), of Indianapolis; sisters, Grace Burkett and Mary Lou Shriver, both of Kittanning; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

     Funeral arrangements are private and under the care of the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.  Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Distant, Pa.
