Douglas Reynolds “Renny” King, 76, of Cowansville, Pa. died on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at ACMH Hospital. He was born May 2, 1947 in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Douglas E. and Doretha C. King. He resided in the community for 32 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Douglas attended Sherrett Methodist Church in Cowansville. His memberships included the Loyal Order of the Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Purple Hearts, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Cootie and the National Rifle Association. Douglas loved being with family. He also enjoyed going to camp and hunting and fishing. He was a long time quartermaster for the Chicora VFW and he especially enjoyed organizing the Memorial Day Parade for many years. He loved being outside and being around people.
Survivors include his wife, Carol M. King, of Cowansville, Pa.; daughter, Tina R. Landgraf and son-in-law, Paul V. “Vince” Landgraf, of Chicora, Pa.; son, Troy D. King and companion, Deb Aites, of Karns City, Pa.; grandson, Dr. Bradley Landgraf and companion, Nathaniel DeYoung, of Beverly, MA; granddaughter, Samantha Landgraf and companion, Daniel Butler, of Pittsburgh; grandson, Jackson C. Landgraf, of Chicora, Pa.; grandsons, Bret M. King and fiancée, Amanda Holbrook, of Massillon, OH and Colby Crawford and companion, Alexis Barkefelt, of East Brady, Pa.; great-grandson, Thor M. King, of Massillon, OH; bonus granddaughter, Emily Aites, of Lucinda, Pa.; bonus great-granddaughter, Aubree Holbrook, of Massillon, OH; and sister, Belinda Hile, of East Brady, Pa. In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Daniel Atkinson.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023 with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Rd., Cowansville, Pa. Pastor Debbie Marshall will officiate.
