Duane H. Belles, 73, of Adrian, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 17, 2026. Born September 2, 1952, he was the son of the late Robert and Jean Belles.  Duane understood the value of a hard day's work beginning his career at Pullman Standard, before becoming a proud member of the Local 37 Roofers Union, where he worked for many years before retiring.  He was truly a jack of all trades, always willing to lend a hand, often putting others' needs above his own.

He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Adrian, the American Legion in Cowansville, the Eagles in Kittanning, and the Kittanning Men’s Club.  He had a passion for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including working on and painting cars (especially his Chevy truck), playing cards, going to the casino, riding his motorcycle, and smoking meat with his closest friends. He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. Though he loved all sports, he was never a bigger fan than when he was watching his children and grandchildren play. Above all, his happiest times were spent with his family and friends.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his companion, Kimmy Denardo of Kittanning; one sister, Linda (Charles) Gibbs of Grove City; one brother, Randy (Patricia) Belles of Chicora; and his six children: Duane (Jay Jay) Belles Jr. of Butler; Lisa (Rick) of Karn City; Rick (Tracy) Belles of Burlington, NC; Greg (Lori) Belles of Franklin Park; Jim (Alison) Belles of Shelocta; and Ron Belles of East Brady. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Brandon, Shane, Auston, Dylan, Devan, Eric, Erin, Ty, Brooklyn, Bria, and Rylan; one great-grandchild, Vianna; and several loving nieces and nephews. Duane was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brianna Logue; his sister, Brenda Belles; and his brother, Gary Belles.

Family and friends will be received from 4-6pm Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 E. Brady Rd., Cowansville, PA with funeral service immediately following at 6 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Tack officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
