Edward Lawrence Clark, 79, of Kittanning, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born June 16, 1942 in East Franklin Township to the late Fred L. and Mildred (Schrecengost) Clark.
He worked as a machinist at the Hyde Park Foundry, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Edward was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Kittanning and also the Smicksburg Tractor Club for many years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and refurbishing tractors, he loved spending time with his family and going to all of his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Edward is survived by his wife of 58 years whom he married May 2, 1964 Eleanor (Hankey) Clark of Kittanning; son Vernon (Karen) Clark of Ford City; son Roger (Amy) Clark of Kittanning; granddaughter Alyssa (Brandon) Hagofsky of Shelocta; grandson Garrett Clark and his girlfriend Julia Allen of Ford City; grandson Brody Clark and his girlfriend Alexis Newbold of Kittanning; granddaughter Shaelyn Clark of Kittanning; great grandson Cyrus Hagofsky of Shelocta; brother Miles (Melzina) Clark of Kittanning; close cousins Dean and Barry Slease.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dave and Fred Clark; step mother Hazel Clark; aunt and uncle who raised him Edward and Vivien Slease.
Friends will be received on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Grace Baptist Church at 527 Butler Road, Kittanning at 11:00 am with additional visitation at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service with Rev. Nathan Bramlet officiating. Interment is in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington.
