Edward Michael Duris

     Edward Michael "Cuppy" Duris, 87, of Kittanning, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Forbes Regional Hospital.  He was born June 20, 1933 in Ford City to the late Adam and Pauline (Bauer) Duris.  He worked as a machinist for PPG and Pullman Standard.  Edward was a 1952 graduate of Ford City High School and he was a member of the West Glade Run Presbyterian Church where he was ordained an elder and trustee.  He also belonged to the Ford City Rifle Club and Ford City Sportsman Club.  Edward liked hunting, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, camping, gardening, and was a big Steelers fan.  He enjoyed numerous hunting and fishing expeditions with friends and family.  He also enjoyed sightseeing the country and visiting his family in numerous states.  His travels included to Hawaii, Austria, and San Juan Islands by boat.

     He is survived by his wife, Luetta (Reed) Duris of Kittanning, whom he married June 4th, 1994; son, Kevin Duris of Oakmont; son, Keith (Xenia) Duris of Manorville; 3 step grandsons, Steven, Zachary, and John Phelps; brother, Joseph (Betty) Duris of California; brother, Andrew (Jane) Duris of Pennsylvania; sister, Johanna Lutterbach of Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, John (Beverly) Reed of Kittanning and good friend Ray (Sally) Swank of Kittanning.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Goliat, Sophia Duris, Ann Naidus, Agnes Naidus, and Jacqueline Barry 

     Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday January 8, 2021 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home with additional visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service with Rev. Colleen McFarland officiating.  Interment will be in West Glade Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  For those attending the viewing and services for Edward, all Department of Health and CDC guidelines will be followed, facial coverings or masks are required.
