Edward Dale Harbison

Edward Dale Harbison Jr., 63, of Ford City, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at his home.  He was born November 11, 1958 in Natrona Heights, Pa.  He was a graduate of Highlands High School, class of 1977.  Ed was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper and bird watcher.  He enjoyed gardening.  He also loved his pets, Lady and August.  Ed is survived by his partner, Jill Smeed; his siblings, Paul (Donna) Harbison and Michele Harbison Vertosick, both of Natrona Heights; his children, Jason (Carlie) Miller, of Selmer, Tennessee, Justin Harbison, of Tarentum, and Heather Harbison, of New Kensington; grandchildren, Asher Miller, Eli and Mackenzie Miller, Jocelyn and Killian Harbison, and Tyson and Kayleoni Harbison; nieces, Christina (Brian) Fitch and Sam Vertosick; and nephews, Michael (Erin) Harbison and Joseph (Julia) Vertosick.  Also surviving is his step-mother, Judy Schultz Harbison; and lifetime best friend, Fran Pettigrew.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Paula (Calligan) Harbison, who passed away in 1990, and father, Ed Harbison Sr., who passed away in 2017; and step-sister, Lee Ann Schultz Negley, who passed away in 2016.  Private arrangements are under the care of the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, Pa.  Out of Ed's love for animals, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Frankie's Friends, 730 5th Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068.
