Edward P. Swigart Sr.

Edward P. Swigart Sr., 79, of Worthington, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital.  He was born July 20, 1941 in Craigsville to the late Paul W. and Norma M. Swigart and was a lifelong resident of the community.  Edward was retired from U.S. Tool & Die.  He served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Cold War. He was a graduate of Worthington High School, Class of 1959, and was an active member of the American Legion Post 828.  He enjoyed attending the alumni breakfast and being with his many friends at Post 828.  Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family. 

Left behind to cherish his memory includes is wife, Nell Swigart, of Worthington; son, Edward P. (Denise) Swigart Jr., of Worthington; daughter, Karen (Jeff) Kennedy, of Prospect; grandchildren, Alex and Amanda Kennedy, of Prospect; and sisters, Shirley Rupp, of Worthington and Marcia Trulick, of Worthington.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Swigart and Harvey Swigart; and sister, Iradell Simpson. 

A worship service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington, Pa.
