Eleanor Marie (Sowers) Schaub

Eleanor Marie (Sowers) Schaub, 80, of Kittanning, passed away Saturday July 19, 2025 at ACMH Hospital. She was born June 8, 1945 in Kittanning to the late Harold and Mary Sowers. She was previously employed at Big River as a cutter, and Grey's Colonial Manor as a caretaker.

She was a member of the United Rockville Lutheran Church. Eleanor enjoyed craft shows, shopping, flea markets, and mostly spending time with her grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her husband of 53 years James R. Schaub of Kittanning; son Brian J. (Jessica) Schaub of Kittanning; daughter Cassie Bennett of Rural Valley; grandchildren Zoe and Keira Bennett of Rural Valley and Tyler and Dylan Schaub of Kittanning; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Mary Sowers and a infant brother Sammy.

Friends will be received on Tuesday July 22, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2025 in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Barbara Love officiating. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
