Elizabeth Susan (Leard) Sharp, passed away at the age of 64 on January 16, 2022, at 4:45pm at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital with her favorite music playing and surrounded by her family. Beth was born on April 26, 1957, in Kittanning, PA. Beth graduated from Kittanning High School in 1975, and moved to Glendale, AZ in 1977 to be with her parents and sister. While in Arizona, Beth met her first husband, Robert Thomason (passed 1993) and gave birth to her only child Anna Rene on July 21, 1980. Beth graduated from Phoenix College in 1987 with her RN. Beth spent her career as a dedicated nurse in the ER and ICU saving lives and showing compassion to all who came her way. It was during her time as an ER nurse, that she met the love of her life, a paramedic named Donald (Don) Sharp. Beth and Don were married June 23rd,2007 in Laughlin, Nevada. Upon retirement from the medical field, Beth and Don moved back to Kittanning, and have resided in Applewold since 2012. Throughout her life, Beth was known for her ability to make any recipe she came across, enjoying old family recipes the most, and passing down her cooking and baking skills to her daughter, nieces, and great-niece. Beth enjoyed traveling, reaching her dream locations including England, Paris, and Rome. Beth also enjoyed sewing and cross stitch, ceramics, gardening, history, her dogs, small town life, and loving her family. Beth was always present for anyone who needed her.
Beth was preceded in death by her father, Samuel R. Leard; her mother Anna Grace (Leech) Leard; and her brother James R. Leard.
Beth is survived by her husband, Donald Sharp (Kittanning); daughter Anna Rene Napoleon, spouse Cruz Napoleon III (Butler); sister Lynn Wood, spouse Edward Wood (Kittanning); brother Robert Leard, spouse Joyce Leard (Kittanning); nieces: Amanda Martin, spouse Adam Martin (Arizona); Amy Wood, spouse Jody Sedillo (Arizona); Anna Satterfield, spouse Jamie Shatterfield (Georgia); nephews: Lt Col. Daniel Leard, spouse Heather Leard (Colorado); Nathan Leard (Pittsburgh); great-nieces: Lillia Martin and Ryan Sedillo-Wood; great-nephews: Johnathan Martin, Keegan Sedillo-Wood, Elias and August Shatterfield; and her dogs Paisley and Mitzie May.
Memorial service and celebration of life to be held at Grace Baptist Church in Kittanning on Saturday, January 22nd from 2-4pm with Rev. Nathan Bramlet officiating.
