Elizabeth "Betty" Mae (Henry) Stewart, 89, of Walk Chalk, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024 at ACMH Hospital went home to be with her Lord and Savior, her infant sons, her husband, parents and all of her siblings. Betty told her granddaughter and great-grandson two days prior that she was looking forward to spending Easter Sunday with Jesus. Betty was born on July 17, 1934 in Kittanning, PA to Frederick Henry and Cecilia (Heller) Henry. Betty was a 1952 graduate of Kittanning High School. Betty married David C. Stewart on November 25, 1954 and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2005. Betty was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Kittanning, PA. She was a former Eucharist minister and was a devoted member of Catholic Daughters of America. Betty loved her family and enjoyed family get togethers and visits from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren along with visits from her beloved nieces, nephews, her cherished neighbors and her church family. Betty enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, going to the Senior Center in Worthington for a lunch followed by card games and socializing, Hallmark movies and listening to her favorite singer, Danny O’Donnell.

Betty is survived by her son David (Bonnie) Stewart of Worthington, PA and daughter Amy (Troy) Siegel of Sarasota, FL. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Melanie Bowser (Ben Salsgiver, Corey (Courtney) Stewart, Cody (Amber) Stewart, Tess (Chris) Stewart, Jonathan and Evan Siegel and Lisa and Jaime. She will always be lovingly remembered by her great grandsons, Logan and Owen Stewart and Max, Jack and Henry Salsgiver. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her infant sons along with sisters Gertrude Dunmire, Lucille Claypoole, Teresa Hill, Rose Rearick and brothers Fred Henry and Paul Henry along with all her siblings beloved spouses. Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at Quality Life Services Sugarcreek for the care they provided for her the past three months.

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa.  Parting prayers will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning with The Reverend Juanito G. Lozano as celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Kittanning.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Betty's honor to St. Mary Cemetery Fund, c/o St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, 101 West High St., Kittanning, Pa. 16201.
