Ella Pearl (Bennett) Douglass, 89, of Cowansville died peacefully at home on Friday January 30, 2026. Ella was born in Kittanning on October 7, 1936 to the late Russel & Permilda (Bowser) Bennett. She worked in food service and was a member of the North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church. Ella also belonged to the American Legion Eastern Star, the VFW in Austin, PA and was a lifetime member of East Fork Sportsman Club. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and staying at her camp.
Ella leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, sons. James (Mick) Douglass of Cowansville and Bill Douglass of Kittanning; daughter, Leanda Jack of Kittanning; 6 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Ella is also survived by sisters, Von Lasher, Greta Walker and Charlene (Robert) Hammer; brothers, Ronald (Debra) Bennett, Robert (Janet) Bennett, Dennis Bennett and Tim (Peg) Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Douglass on November 3, 2012; and siblings Norman, Charles, Ida May, Hallie, Bessie, and Rosie.
Ella's friends and family will be received on Monday February 2, 2026 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean Street, Kittanning, Pa 16201 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. Additional viewing will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday February 3, 2026 from 10:00am until time of funeral services at 11:00am with Larry Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates Worthington, PA
