Etta A. (Croyle) Cloak Fox, 84, of Templeton, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, Pa. Born on March 23, 1938, Etta was the daughter of William J. and Gladys E. Croyle. She was a proud member of the Dayton High School class of 1956. Etta married Jack N. Cloak on May 14, 1960. They added 4 children to their home over the years: Lisa (Earl) Slagle, William “Bill” (Connie) Cloak, Nancy Greenawalt, and Amy (Travis) Crissman. The family continued to grow by adding 7 grandchildren: Steven (Darlene) Cloak, Justin (Kelsie) Cloak, Sara Crissman, Rachel (Seth) Bowser, Faith (Michael) Christley, Timothy Greenawalt and Katie Crissman, and 4 great-grandchildren, Silas Bowser, Scarlett Cloak, Jack M. Cloak and Bailee Cloak. After Jack passed away in 2004, Etta married Mason Fox in 2006. Mason was her high school sweetheart. They were married for 5 years until his passing in 2011.
Etta lived her life in service to our Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Templeton Church of God. She served the church in many roles over the years. Due to health reasons, she was unable to attend regularly in the last few years. Etta had numerous jobs in her lifetime. She started working for Bill Bridge in Kittanning. She worked for several banks and the cafeteria in the Kittanning branch of IUP. Her most important job was being the best mom/gram/G.G. around. She loved them all equally and had no favorites. Besides her family, Etta also leaves her lifelong best friend, Esther Fox and her step-son Don (Dorene) Fox, to keep her memory alive. In addition to her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack N. Cloak; second husband, Mason Fox; and her son-in-law, Brian Greenawalt.
The family would like to thank all of the nursing staff at Good Samaritan Hospice. They were wonderful to mom. The family would also like to thank Sharon, Cindy and Barb for providing excellent company and care to mom.
