Evelyn Jean (Fair) Hooks

Evelyn Jean “Nana” Hooks, 83, of Adrian, PA died on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Heritage Meadows Nursing Home.  She was born September 17, 1939 in Adrian to the late Harry and Mildred (Crissman) Fair.  She was retired from her position as Postmaster at the Adrian Post Office.  Evelyn enjoyed talking on the phone and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Baker and husband, Dean Lindsay, of Greenburg and Tammy Croyle and husband, Jim, of Adrian; grandchildren, Greg (Tara) Baker, Nathan Croyle, Madison Pihony and Kaila (Matt) Soltez; great-grandchildren, Madison Baker, Addison Soltez, Abigail Baker and Ivan Croyle; sister, Peggy Clouse; and sister-in-law, Ann Kline.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan “Ike” “Pappy” Hooks.

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Rd., Cowansville, PA.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30 at Adrian Community Church of God, 115 Brown Rd., Adrian, PA with Rev. Donald Breghenti officiating, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Croyle Cemetery in Adrian, PA.
