Frederick W. Marrapode

Frederick W. Marrapode, 75, of Kittanning, died on Sunday, March 3, 2024 in the VA Medical Center in Butler, Pa. He was born August 21, 1948 in Kittanning to the late Fred and Florence (Pollick) Marrapode.  He was a graduate of Kittanning High School, class of 1966.  He served his country in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971.  He had his own business where he lived all his life on North Water Street.  Fred was an honest and much loved guy.  He would help anyone who needed something fixed or needed money.  He loved and rescued many cats over the years, and they were named mostly for the color of their fur. 

He is survived by his sister, Joanne (Lerner) Sicheri, of Kittanning, and brother, Thomas, of La Porte, Indiana; four nieces and nephews, including John Lerner and Jennifer (Lerner) Beer (Donnie), who were around him the most.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

No services are to be held at this time.  Donations can be made in Fred's memory to Orphans of the Storm, P.O. Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa.
