Gail (Kasun) Adams

Gail (Kasun) Adams, 68, of Kittanning, went home to be with her Lord on August 23, 2024 at St Margaret’s Hospital after an extended illness.  Gail was born May 15, 1956 to Edward and Kathleen Kasun. She was a graduate of Kittanning High School and the former Duff’s Business Institute. Throughout her life, Gail worked at various places around the area including ARC Manor, HAVIN, Ames, the Salvation Army, and Klingensmith Drug Store. 

Gail loved music and singing, especially the Mamas and the Papas, Todd Rundgren, and Elton John. She loved QVC, a good British mystery show, and never missed an episode of The Great British Bake-off. Musicals were also a favorite and she loved experiencing new ones in Pittsburgh with Megan. She and Mark also enjoyed attending NASCAR races and going to Gettysburg. 

Gail’s family, past and present, were her entire being. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of nearly 48 years, Mark, and their daughter, Megan. She is also survived by her beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, Saundra (John) Hellgren and Cindy (David) Roschli; special cousin, Lisa (Richard) LaBossiere; sister-in-law, Marsha (Matt) Smith; and nephew, Matthew (Rachel) Smith. Her four nephews, John, Michael, Jarrett, and Taylor meant the absolute world to her. She also cherished her friendships with her KHS Class of 1974 classmates. 

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29 at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Hindman officiating, with an additional hour of visitation prior to the service.  Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial contribution to your charity of choice (but Gail liked libraries, cats, and WQED).
