Gertrude M. (Carnahan) Laux, 92, of Worthington passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday October 19, 2021.
She was born on December 29, 1928 in New Kensington to the late Ralph & Mildred Carnahan.
Gertrude was a hardworking farmers wife who liked to read, listen to country music, traveling, Nashville, spending time with family and spoiling her grandbabies. She absolutely loved going to Kennywood and she did so from the time she was a little girl thru her mid 80's. She always said the rougher the ride the better. Gertrude leaves behind to cherish her memory :

Daughter- Linda (David) Sappe) of Freeport
Son- Ralph (Beverly) Laux of Worthington
Daughter- Christine (Roger) Thatch of Worthington
Daughter- Debbie (Donald) Rodgers of Homer City
Son and caretaker- Mark Laux of Worthington
12 grandchildren
24 great grandchildren
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband- Joseph Laux in September of 2011
Brothers- Warren & Charles Carnahan and Irvin Wilson
Sisters- Vera Crane & Blanche Kamzalow
Family and friends of Gertrude Laux will be received on Monday October 25, 2021 in the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear Street, Worthington, Pa 16262 from 10:00am until time of funeral services at 12 noon with Pastor Richard Motzing officiating. Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
