Gretchen Ruth (Frederick) Mowery, 43, of Kittanning, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born Feb. 3, 1978, in Virginia Beach, Va., to Thomas Frederick and Gwen Bowser. Gretchen enjoyed crafting mesh wreaths and diaper cakes as well as other crafts. She liked to listen to Woodstock era music especially Janis Joplin. Gretchen was a proud mother and grandmother and loyal sister to her brothers. She loved sunflowers and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Gretchen is survived by her mother, Gwen Bowser, of Kittanning; father and step mother, Thomas and Dixie Frederick, of Suffolk, Va.; brother, Todd (Brandi) Frederick, of Pittsburgh; brother, Eric Frederick, of Kittanning; brother, Matthew Stens, of Kittanning; daughter, Tatum Cravener, of Kittanning; grandson Bentley Stewart, of Kittanning; husband, Carl Mowery, of Kittanning; maternal grandfather, Dan Bish, of Templeton; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Goldie Bish; paternal grandparents, George and Hesta Frederick; and step father, Macey Eugene Bowser.

Services are private and under the care of Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
