Harold R. Brocious

Harold R. Brocious, 91, of Kittanning, passed on to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, September 9, 2022. Harold was born on January 10, 1931 in Distant, Pa, son of the late Ellis and Annie Brocious. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Mary, his wife of 70 years, and their daughter, Valarie; also preceding him in death are 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and their daughter-in-law, Valerie. Harold was a longstanding member of Worthington Baptist Church where he served as deacon and dedicated many hours of service. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. Harold and Mary spent much of their retirement years lovingly caring for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Steven Brocious; daughter, Trudy (Jeff) Bowser; son, David (Tracy) Brocious; daughter, Mindy (Ralph) Hammonds; grandchildren, Jason Bowser, Jennifer (James) Bowser, Jana (Michael) Meneely, Joel (Mary) Brocious, Samantha (Aaron) Clark, Emily Brocious, Paige Brocious, Hannah Brocious, Rachel Hammonds; and great-grandchildren, Becca, Ella, Zakyia, Jordyn, Henry and Charlie. 

Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, PA. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Worthington Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Basham officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Distant, PA.
