Harvey Sherman Bellas Jr., 84, of Kittanning, passed away Sunday July 5, 2026 at home. He was born June 22, 1942 in Kittanning to the late Harvey Sherman, Sr. and Genevieve (McKelvey) Bellas. Harvey worked for Labor Union 952 for 50 years as a worker and member. He enjoyed doing yard work, cross word puzzles, spending time with family and friends on holidays and special occasions. He loved working on his truck and old cars, while listening to bluegrass music.


Harvey is survived by his two daughters Rhonda Jean Bellas of Ford City and Barbara Ann Bellas and Michael Clark of West Kittanning; son Harvey Sherman Bellas III of East Brady; he was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; he has ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; sister Nancy Consolian of Arizona; sister Doris Cousins of Kittanning; sister Gloria Wolfe of West Kittanning; brother Michael Bellas of Ford City; sister Alice Intante of North Carolina.


He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey Sherman and Geneiveve Bellas Sr.; wife of 63 years Bessie Lee Bellas; sister Elizbeth Schmidt; brother John Bellas; sister Debra Ion.


Services are private and under the care of the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
