Helen Marie Booher, 73, of Freeport, died on Saturday June 18, 2022 at ACMH Hospital. She was born on July 17, 1948 in Armstrong County to the late Charles L. & Rose Marie (Harbarger) Woods. Helen was the manager of the Worthington Senior Center, having just recently retired. She was a member of the Clinton Presbyterian Church in the Clinton area of Freeport. She was also a member at the Ford City Eagles and the Polish Falcons. Helen enjoyed cards, bingo, bowling and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left behind to cherish her memory includes her husband of 55 years, Harry E. Booher, whom she married on July 1, 1967; daughter, Heather Marie Yount and husband, Wes, of Kittanning; son-in-law, Gary Grates, of Florida; grandchildren, Amber (Christopher) Delp, Charlotte Yount, and Edward (Autumn) Grates; great-grandchildren, Devilin Gemmill, William Gemmill Jr., Nichole Delp, Natasha Delp, Quintin McElroy, and Nevaeh McElroy; and sister, Linda Lee Woods, of Freeport. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Ann Marie Grates. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 North Grant Ave., Kittanning, PA 16201 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Additional viewing will be in the funeral home on Wed., June 22, 2022 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm. with Rev. Adam Clever officiating. Burial will follow in McVille Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen’s memory to a children’s charity of one’s choice.
